Idon't think the park has a campground. anyone else know for sure?
It says there are 6. Only $6 fee to stay. However, i can't find any way to reserve
Think Snowman is right
What about these that are listed??? Am I reading it wrong???
That is in the wilderness area. No roads in there, only trails. And the camping is for tent camping.
I would suggest cactus Country RV Park, Just off I-10 on Houghton Road.
Another option, about 40 miles east of there, would be the Triangle-T guest ranch.
Thank you...Triangle T looks fun!
It has been several years since we stayed there. But, yes, it really was fun. The saloon is a hoot, built around a huge boulder. If you can be there for more than just one night, the Amerind Foundation Museum is maybe a mile away.
We enjoyed that campground and its proximity to the Desert Museum....
No camp/RV sites at Saguaro NP East or West except backcountry. Have tent camped at Gilbert Ray 5 or 6 times and highly recommend the campground but only if you like scenery and wildlife. Most sites there are for RVs but tents are allowed to use vacant RV sites. Wash rooms but no showers. Very convenient for Tuscon Studios, ASDM, Saguaro NP West, Tucson Mountain Park. If you need shop, launderette, pool, tennis etc, then it is not for you.Edited: 8:16 pm, April 10, 2013
