Restaurants:

Mama Rose's Italian in Barlow Plaza (downtown)

Twin Owls (on MacGregor, just on the north edge of town)

The Tavern (at Mary's Lake Lodge) Don't let the name fool you, it's not just a bar, non-drinkers eat there too.

Snack: Danish Cone (uptown, west end, pink windows) Great homemade waffle cones and ice cream

I'm certain others will chime in with available WiFi. Happily we did not take a computer on vacation with us. =)

Easy web search revealed this list of WiFi hotspots:

Estes Park

Kind Coffee - free w/purchase - 470 E Elkhorn Ave

Notch Top Cafe - 457 E Wonderview - 970-586-0272

Estes Park Public Library - adjacent to the Municipal Building on Elkhorn Avenue

The Stanley Hotel - 333 Wonderview Ave - 970-586-3371

You're only going to do a quick email check, just once, right??

Agree with Khawnee's suggestions, will add Dunraven Inn for Italian and Rock Inn Mountain Tavern for suprisingly good food and live music; both are on on Hwy 66. Big Horn is my favorite breakfast spot - big weekend crowds, but they get 'em in and out quickly.

A good rule of thumb for eating in Estes is just to stay off the main strip, they are typically overpriced and average food. Stay on the side areas of town for the best eateries.

McDonalds WIFI isn't free. They open at 5am. wiFi starts at $2.95 per hour . They use WayPort. I walked up the hill to the Stanley Hotel where it worked fine free in the lobby.

I have to agree with the restaurant reviews:

Mama Rosa's is on the strip, facing the river near Poppy's Pizza. It was * fantastic * and very, very reasonably priced as well.

Twin Owls was our best meal ever in Estes Park, albeit the most expensive also.

If you like breakfast with a twist, try The Egg & I. You can find their menu on line. I love it because I can get a breakfast there that I would never even think of creating at home and it has always been fresh, hot and delicious. We ordered sandwiches to go when we where there in July and took them up to the park for an easy picnic lunch. We were just as impressed with the lunches.

If you ever just want a burger and fries, Penelope's on the main strip was great! Probably the best we've ever had!
