Greetings and welcome to The States.
Antelope Island would be a nice place to go for the GSL. There are herds of bison, antelope, deer, and an occasional sighting of coyote, owls, etc. Buffalo Point is a nice sunset place.
Salt Lake City also has mountains to explore. A ride on the Snowbird Tram would give you Rocky Mountain views from 11,000-feet above sea level. Temple Square is a huge tourist draw right downtown. And the Natural History Museum of Utah is fantastic. You could look into some performing arts in the evenings at places like Eccles Theater.
Let us know what your interests are and we could come up with some more options. Any preferences on food, drink?
Since November 15 is on Sunday, I suggest that you plan on going to the free live broadcast of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. You'd need to be in your seats in the Tabernacle by 9:15. The broadcast starts at 9:30 and runs a half hour. Then spend some time exploring Temple Square.
In the afternoon, you could one of the following - Drive to Antelope Island State Park to get the best views of the Great Salt Lake; or drive up Little Cottonwood Canyon to Snowbird as suggested by Shake; drive to Park City, Utah, a mountain town 40 minutes east of SLC, or go to the Natural History Museum
thankyou for your reply
