Is there a ferry from Port Angeles to Bellingham?
If not, whats the best way to get there quickly?
Darn those secure pages:
I would take the one from Port Townshend to Whidbey -- only if I MADE A RESERVATION first.
I have spent a day trying to get on this ferry and getting the runaround from ferry employees. Reservations are free, so get one.
Going up through Whidbey to I-5 would be faster than going to I-5 at Edmonds during most of the afternoon and evening, plus the PT-W is shorter and more scenic. Also the line to Kingston is often bad and you can't make a reservation on that ferry.
Other than going north or specifically wanting to go to Whidbey, I'd avoid the PT-W ferry. It is very small and they only allow 5 drive up passengers per trip on a busy day. One boat goes back and forth so there are not many spots.
don't think I'd advise anyone going north to go almost all the way back to Edmonds. Agree that Pt. Townsend to Whidbey make a whole lot more sense. If you do this please head up Chuckanut Drive. You can get there from hwy 20 but you'd have to ask a local as I doubt there is any signs.
I second the Chuckanut Drive! You can get off I-5 around Burlington. Yes, there are signs for Chuckanut Drive, state Hwy. 11. It's at exit 231. It'll take you right into Fairhaven.
To get there "quickly" stay I-5.
