We are planning to stay 2 nights at the Natl park in Mesa verde. For a family of 6 is that to long? the park accommodations apparently don't have AC is that an issue for July?

Two nights is great. There are two areas of the park open in the summer and each can take a day. Check on www.nps.gov/meve for maps, tour info and other things to do in the park. I like visiting Spruce Tree House in the early morning. You won't need ac at the hotel at night, but you may need an extra blanket. The high desert cools off quickly at night. There may be short thunderstorms too, which are always welcome in the desert. Have fun.

2 days is perfect. You will be able to explore both Mesas - Chapin and Wetherill which each take a day.

Two nights (one day) is good.

Three nights (two days) is better.
