Atlanta airport

We are arriving at Delta south terminal and need to get to the new international terminal. Is the people mover easily seen? Also do we need to check in through security again? We are traveling with small children and have an hour layover to get from one point to next

You do not have to go back through security .Just take the Plane Train to the next gate, which may or may not be in the new international terminal. Be sure to check the monitors when you arrive to confirm your gate assignment, as those are subject to change.

Also, don't dawdle. Your international flight will start boarding 45-60 minutes before take-off, so will likely already be boarding when you get to the gate. Take that into account when packing, as overhead space might be taken and there's a slim possibility if you're among the last to board you won't find room in the overhead bins and will have to gate check. That is not as much of a problem on international flights as it is on domestic flights, though.
