West Seattle restaurants

We need a nice mid-priced restaurant in West Seattle in which to hold a wedding rehearsal dinner in early October. Any suggestions?

Several choices. How many people?

Rather than post your question here, I would definitely post it on www.westseattleblog.com. I'm a West Seattle resident and this blog has won awards for it's fantastic community response and active message boards, particularly for people with inquiries like yours. Good luck!

You should get plenty of recommendations from the WS Blog, and among them Salty's, but take a look at La Rustica on Beach Drive. Small, intimate, unexpected. http://www.larusticarestaurant.com

I, also, was going to suggest La Rustica, but 30 people? You might be taking over the restaurant, so inquire of them.

I'm gonna guess that TA would rather have its contributors say "you may want to ALSO post on the www.westseattleblog.com site" rather than "rather than post your question here".

This is an excellent site and, while other sites may also offer excellent perspective on a given travel-related topic, TA nearly always offers great insights.

Thanks to Island Grl, voyaging and Dave_in_Indy for your help. I will talk to La Rustica, and also post on BOTH websites. I love TripAdvisor. Right now we are planning three weeks in Italy in May, and I've used TA for every decision. I'll also have to give a plug to Hotels.com. We've been using them on occasion for a couple years -- they're a class act.

Italy in May...lovely!

Yes, most likely at La Rustica you would rent the whole place.

Off topic, but this thread really makes me lament the passing of the Alki Homestead.
