Whales in the Harbor and Bay

We've just spent 3 wonderful days in Seward at a rustic cabin in Miller's Landing. We've been thrilled to watch 3 or 4 whales right from shore. Sometimes they're just swimming around. But the best part is watching them lunge feeding when they come halfway up out of the water. This is all clearly visible from shore. Head to Miller's Landing or Caines's beach and you'll see them. Wish we had a few more days here!

Glad that you saw the whales but note that it is not an every day occurrence to see them from the shore, much less to see them lunge feeding. Count your blessings.

I did a hike from Millers Landing to Caines Head, much of it along the shore. Saw no whales at all. On the water taxi back we got to see a very brief whale spotting but it never came back up again before we had to leave after about 5 minutes.
