Kaprun - is there are different pass for non-skiers

I will be visiting Kaprun next spring with a group. There will be one non-skier. Does anyone know if there is a non-skier pass for going to the glacier? My friend would like to come up to the mountain to meet us for lunch and admire the scenery. But a ski-pass is very expensive just to do this.

In other resorts I have been to, a non-skier can walk up to the pay-desk at the bottom of the main lift and buy a pass for the day and it is much cheaper than a ski-pass. In Kaprun you need a ski-pass to travel on the buses for free, and the bus is the only way to get to the main gondola.

How does it all work for a non-skier?

There are different tickets for non-skiers

The basic ticket for €22.50 (before 2pm) just gets you up to the main Alpin Center

The Gletscherwelt ticket allows you to take the cable cars up to the summit station.

This may help you generally especially for generall getting around.

The K1 K2 & "Dorfbus" Kaprun (see greenline top left and schedules right hand side) which runs from Kaprun to the Kitzsteinhorn cable car is free for everybody (see comment bottom right).

If the non-skier wishes to go from Kaprun to Zell am See then there will be charge (sorry don't know the prices).

The standard ticket from Kaprun to Zell am See on the normal bus service 660 is €3.10
