I am flying into Salzburg on the 11th February and was wondering if anyone new how much the train costs to Zell Am See?
Look here for more info:
As you travel within one county (Bundesland, Austria has 9 of them), you will get the cheaper SVV (association of all means of public transport in Salzburg) tariff. This also means that you can buy one ticket for the entire journey and use all means of public transport on your way.
By the way: there are also busses to Zell am See which are often faster.
Here you can find the SVV-website. Routeplanner incl. prices can be found there.
Anyone got a price yet? Those links are useless.
Have a look on the link I gave.. then you will see the fares.
Thanks Robbi but the link is useless, try it yourself. It just brings you to a page with more opetion but no prices.
If you actually look at the website, you will see the link to the route planner. This is what you need.
Specially for you:
The train cost 12.50euro per person, if you are flying ryan air then you will probable miss the train as the last one leaves at 9pm and the ryan air flight usuall arrives in at that time so you will have to take a taxi about 100 euro.
The route planner link some people keep on pasting is useless. Try it, it's a complete waste of time.
if you are computer illiterate it doesn't mean the link is useless. I tried it with Salzburg Flughafen (airport) and Zell am See Bahnhof for tomorrow and it works perfectly.
I'd also say that this link is one of the most important if anybody wants to travel within Salzburg county as it also shows you the fares.
