too much to see

My family was there in the area 3 years ago, didn't get a chance to see and do everything. We are going back for 3 days on way to yellowstone. We are planning a trip to Devil's Tower, one of the many things we missed last time. Can you give ample time to Devils' Tower driving from Custer?

Give yourself three hours. The most direct route will be US 385 to Deadwood and then US 85 to I-90 and on to Devils Tower.

I would suggest giving yourself about four hours and swinging through Spearfish Canyon on the way.

Thanks, we were considering giving a whole day to this venture, sounds like we'll need it.

Devil's Tower isn't too far off the interstate. Like 30 minutes. Just beware, COPS EVERYWHERE ON THE WAY OUT TO IT!!!! Not sure what that was all about. We spent two hours hiking around it too. I'd say it's a half day trip anyway....
