Hotel recommendations please ?

Am considering visiting 3rd week of April for school vacation if I can get tolerable airfare rates, yikes it's high for Easter week!

Anyways, will be 2 adults with a 6 1/2 year old.

Would like to be in the French Quarter (other input on location appreciated) and am looking at the Holiday Inn Chateau Lemoyne for a pretty good AAA rate

Any recommendations in the 150-200 per night range are appreciated. Am hoping that it will be warm enough to swim in the outdoor pools and wonder if any hotels have indoor pool in my price range.

Thanks much!

I really like Place D'Armes and Hotel Provincial. Both are great hotels for families...great locations and nice pools...my kids enjoyed both pools...the Provincial's pool is bigger, but the Place D'Armes has a very beautiful courtyard. It's not a big deal, but it's nice that both hotels also offer continental breakfast.

Both appear to be unavailable Easter week, but I've added them to my NO saves for future reference, thanks!

Aiming for 4/19 thru 25th. The HI has rooms but wondering if it's a good choice for us, thanks

I am trying to decide between Hotel Monteleone(have stayed there before) and preferred balcony king room at Omni Royal. What should I do? Just can't make up my mind!

Omni and Mont are comparable. Good service; nice if only moderate sized rooms at both; Omni little better location and better rooftop/pool; Mont better bar and potential for river views. Be particular in your requests for room location at both hotels. If you want to try for a view at the Monteleone, check the website for each room's views at the Monteleone at room77.com (see full link below - site is a little tricky to maneuver.) If you stay at Omni, be sure to join for free their nice Omni Select program which gives you some good perks. For most quiet rooms at Omni ask for 6th floor, away from elevator and NO adjoining room (connecting doors not sound insulated.) My fav views are along St Louis and Royal Streets. Both are wonderful hotels. I pers am staying all next week at the Omni. Love that place.
