Dress code - Going in June

Going for the first time in June with my wife for a 23 year wedding anniversary, want to travel with carry on luggage only so what is the norm dress code in Nola?

Are Jeans/polo shirts acceptable to go to most places?

Thanks

For the most part, the attire you mention is fine for almost all restaurants in New Orleans with the exception of a few old guard fine dining restaurants (Arnaud's main dining room, Galatoire's, etc...) and one or two others. As far as most of the newer breed of fine dining establishments go (Bayona, August, Cuvee, etc...), you should be fine. All other places, it's basically come as you are.

Jeans and shorts are fine for almost all restaurants and clubs in June. Even some of the nicer places are saying "jacket preferred" rather than required. If you do want to go to Antoine's (don't!), Galatoires, etc., you will still need the jacket.

Bring a pair of khakis and polo shirt. That and a light sleeveless dress for the lady will get you in 99% of the restraunts in town. Even the nice ones. Call ahead or ask your concierge if you are unsure.
