Brunch recommendations for the CBD or upper Quarter area

Going to the Saints opening day game vs the Falcons!

Can anyone recommend a good casual brunch place?

We usually don't eat breakfast but eat a early lunch when in NOLA so I don't know many breakfast places. It's an early game and we want to get to the Superdome by 10-10:30. Also, my husband doesn't like most breakfast foods (eggs, french toast, waffles, pancakes) so I need a place that will have something on the menu besides these.

We love Vacherie as well as Red Gravy. I've also heard good things about Eat.

Provided the menu (includes meat balls, panini, pasta, chicken and waffles, etc.) and a 9 AM opening gets the job done, the Forum favorite Red Gravy. On Camp St. close to Canal St, and takes reservations. See the Weekend Brunch menu at:

http://www.redgravycafe.com/menu.html

Cafe Adelaide would also be a good choice; opens for brunch at 7 AM; interesting non-egg selections; takes reservations; on Poydras St. close to Tchoupiyoulas St. See:

It seems most of the typical Sunday brunch places don't open until 10 or 10:30 AM. You will want someplace that will take reservations.

Thanks...Red Gravy seems like it would fit the bill!
