Weekdays dull?

We plan to visit the city, but our schedule is such that we can only be there Sunday-Wednesday in mid-May (after the jazz festival). We're thinking that nightlife might be pretty dull on those days. Can you have fun on the weekdays?

New Orleans is never dull: I have trouble knowing what day it is when I'm there.

It won't be dead of dull. Of course, it won't be as busy or crazy as the week-end, but you will still find great food, great music, and great ambiance and be able to really enjoy it.

What are the quietest days of the year? Today, Ash Wednesday? Christmas?

Just curious...

Bourbon Street is like a frat party for adults every single nite of the year.

We have so many things to do and as a local, some nights, I am quadruple booked with activities! Do you have something specific you are interested in? The Palmetto Bug Stompers at DBA will be packed with dancers on Sunday at 6pm on Frenchmen St. Monday night, try to catch the happy hour specials at Three Muses from 4-6 and stay to hear the first set of music, also on Frenchmen St. Tuesday, maybe checkout something else, Bourbon St. at night and Royal St during the day. I could go on and on....you will have a great time!

Look at www.offbeat.com for music listings by genre and venue.

Check out Gambit Weekly online for event/activity and music listings.

Some of the more local, good bands play on Sunday/Monday nights in the Quarter...Lil Red and Big Bad, Rooster and the Chickenhawks, Waylon Thibideaux, Willie Lockett and the All Purpose Blues Band. Never dull.
