Airport Transportation for Superbowl Weekend

We're thrilled to be heading to NO for the superbowl. We are arriving on Friday, and then returning to the airport on Monday. We're staying in an apartment in the French Quarter. Now difficult do you think it will be to get a taxi at the airport and for the return trip? Should we consider reserving a sedan?

You could, but it is generally quicker if you just stand in the queue for the first available taxi. We were there last week and they are pretty well prepared and very efficient in terms of influx. It will be much cheaper and likely as quick.

Whether or not a taxi is cheaper depends on how many people are traveling. For two people a taxi is cheaper. I also find that the taxi line can get pretty long during big events like The SB. When you pre arrange a ride you cross over to the garage where the hotel shuttles pick up and find your ride. If I were going for SB I would consider pre arranging a ride. When we went down the weekend of Jan 18 the taxi lines were long, 20 minute wait. For the MG trip we are going to have a pick up.

Arrange a sedan, skip the wait.
