I have such a dilemma. There is a Treme Bicentennial Celebration from Oct 16-21. I was so planning to watch the entire Saints game at Good Friends on the 21st, which starts @ noon. However, the festival is having the mother of all second lines @ 11. Think I may have to miss kickoff. If anyone wants to find me mid-day on Oct 21, listen for the brass bands and I'll be somewhere behind. I can't wait! Anyone in town want to join me?
Here's what Nola.com says about it:
Sunday, October 21: Tremé 200 United Second Line – Get ready for the mother of all second lines! Thirteen different Tremé social clubs will parade with four different brass bands for a once in a lifetime experience. You need to be at 1210 Gov. Nicholls St. at 11:00 a.m. to see it kick off!
