Don't forget that lunch at some of the top restaurants in the city can be reasonably priced. Bayona has wonderful sandwiches in the $10-14 range and August has a 2 or 3 course meal for $20.05.

Lunch at Muriel's on Jackson Sq. There food is great. Check out their cool New Orleansie website, www.muriels.com, the music sounds like a horror movie.

there are so many great suggestions here as there are so many good places in New Orleans!

Mona Lisa is at 1212 Royal and we try to make that a part

of our itinerary every trip

another good one for breakfast/lunch is Quarter Scene.

I think its on Dumaine.

Mother's is good if you like plain Southern food. Opens early for breakfast and is behind the Doubletree Hotel on the corner. Not exactly in the Bourbon St. area, but there are a lot of good places to eat.
