1. Re: buffets

In a city renowned for its bountiful seafood and culinary execution, it almost seems that buffets are viewed by local chefs to be beneath them. The only recurring buffet is the 24 hour buffet at the Harahs Casino. Many hotels do brunch buffets on Sunday that are quite nice and the Court of Two Sisters does their JAzz brunch buffet daily, but I would only go there if you wanted to eat where the tourists eat ( locals know better)

Exactly what the other poster wrote: (1) there are hundreds of good dining choices in New Orleans, there's no real reason to go to a buffet and (2) Court of Two Sisters is a tourist joint with a nice courtyard setting but with food that is about the level of a Hometown Buffet (i.e. not very good).

Begues in the Royal Sonesta has a highly rated Friday Noon Seafood Buffet.
