Hi NDLav. Be aware that condo/house/apartment rentals are illegal in New Orleans for less than 30 days (60 days in the FQ, I think) and the city is really cracking down now. Your best bet is to find a 2 bedroom suite at a hotel or a B&B. Check the Faubourg Marigny as there are some licensed B&Bs with small "cottages," according to other folks who've posted here. You may want to search some of the posts on this forum or read tripadvisor's B&B reviews to get an idea of how some of these places are laid out.
The city's "approved lodging" list:
I would NOT use vrbo.com or anything like that. If you book something unlicensed, you run the (albeit slight) risk of losing your money!
Thank you SO MUCH! We had no idea, but we are looking at B&B's now. What is the average price we should expect to pay during Mardi Gras???
Thank you SO much for your input!! Im off to that site!!
