Mandira or Padma

Hi all

We are heading to bali in May, and are tossing up between the Mandira or the Padma. Any suggestions? Will be travelling with as four year old.

Thanks in advance

Padma would be my pick,we have stayed at both.Padma being far better than the Mandira.

Great family resort with brilliant pools and lovely rooms.

Hi Judy!

I echo TLM's recommendation! The Padma has a kids club, and the garden view chalets have ample room for Mum Dad and the little one!

We stayed every trip at the Mandira for about 13 years, then management changed their rates offering a heavily discounted all inclusive for Europeans and a higher room and breakfast rate for others! Totally unfair and we decided to "vote with our feet".

We found the Padma to be a better layout, more modern, bigger pool area, better pathways from room to restaurant, pool, spa, etc.

Depending on where you are accommodated at the Mandira, you could be faced with a very long walk from your room to meals/pools etc.

Stayed at both hotels and I prefer a Mandira with it's rolling lawn, relaxed, priced right for beach front and less crowded round the pool and relaxed atmosphere. ie not so many pool bed bandits leaving towels out all day lol

Prices from booking.com for my trip in October (11 nights) would be Padma $3,123USD or Mandira $1,853USD... Is Padma REALLY worth about 70% more? They're not really even in the same price bracket.

Every year when I travel I usually stay a few days at the Padma, but this year, the room type I wanted was booked out, so I booked my few days at the Mandira.

It looks pretty good, same location and was considerably cheaper.

The contact i've already had with the staff has been excellent, so I hope it will be just as good when I arrive.
