It can happen at any hotel unfortunately.

I would not be in a hurry to switch, Just keep a record of what money is in there, what you take out and maybe even put tape over the safe to show if it has been opened.

I have stayed at Kumala several times and have never had a problem. But, thanks for the warning, will be careful when we are there again in October. Good advice Linda about the tape trick.

Same comment, I've stayed numerous time at KP and never had any problem. It can happen at any hotel I'm afraid.

The tape trick is a good one Linda, I'll have to remember this.

Get into a habit of wiping the safe keypad after use as a light coating of powder(talc) over the keypad is all that is needed to reveal your combination to anyone else.

Excellent tip "n00d1e", have to add that on my must remember list. Where did you learn that one from?

Me too. When Linda suggested the tape it reminded me of James wetting a hair he had pulled from his head and placing it over door and door frame and when he came back to his room he could see that it had come away....let the chop sockie begin.

The hotel we stayed at in Singapore put our money in yellow envelopes and then stickytaped over the seal and we had to sign on the stickytape.....so we would know if it had been opened.
