Amed for one night - family accommodation?

Hi,

We (4 adults & 5 kids under 10) are staying in a Villa in Seminyak this June. This will be our third trip to Bali and we thought we would have a look further afield this time.

We are thinking Amed and given the distance thought we should stay overnight but will it be easy to find accomm for the 9 of us just for one night? Is it worth taking the 2 days out of our 11 to do this trip or is there a closer destination that would make a better overnight trip?

Thanks.

One night should not be a problem to get, but it is a long drive and I would do at least two nights if I went there. Have a look at the Beach House for accommodation, but others will have other options as well. Just check that the rooms are accessable internally, as a lot of the accommodation in Amed might advertise as three bedroom, but they are external access, so not suitable for small children.

Amed is a great choice to experience something 'different' to the south. Take a look at Puri Wirata, they have a variety of room choices that would suit you and your group.

I have booked Bali Bhuana beach for our next stay there, they are on a good section of beach with restaurants to walk to. Good snorkelling there as well and much cheaper than the neighbouring hotels.

I thought of Puri Wirata too Snooky, but the house we had was three bedrooms all with external access, though the upstairs rooms did have an internal door and were quite large. The master room downstairs had a huge lounge room and if they had the bedding would easily accommodate them all. We are booked with Blue Moon Villas for our trip in June, but again I think the access is all external for the three bedroom house.

How about the double storey family villas at Coral View, also on Lipah beach? They are right at the front of the property facing the beach. Upstairs is a king bed and balcony. Downstairs there are two single beds (room for another bed to be brought in), bathroom, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities. Staircase is fairly steep, but internal. There's a lovely swimming pool and the beach right outside the property has no coral - sandy bottom - ideal for kids to play in. There is coral both to the right and left for any snorkellers in the group.

Management is amenable to a little bargaining on the quoted price

puri wirata deluxe rooms have interconnecting rooms so 2 rooms per family would work.

Bali Beach House is a 3 bedroomed villa with 2 double bedded rooms & a twin bedded room. A lovely villa but wouldn't accommodate all of you.

Others you could look at:

Wawa Wewe11 has a 2 bedroom villa & 1 bedroom villas, the latter has a double bed downstairs & a double mattress in a semi-loft area but it depends on the age of your children as to whether a combination of the two would work.

Villa Mimpi has 4 bedrooms.

Amed Bali Villa Pantai has 4 spacious suites.

Puri Wirata, Blue Moon Villas or Life in Amed Beach Cottages may be able to accommodate you.

Bedulu Resort has family bungalows with 1 king size bed & 2 single beds on the upper level, maybe 2 family bungalows if they could fit another single bed in one of them.

Deddy's Bungalows have 2 or 3 2 bedoomed bugalows. Would a combination of 2 bungalows with an extra bed in one of them work?
