Garbage in Amed ocean

We went snorkeling at the Japanese boat wreck in December. The coral garden and the area about the boat was gorgeous. (Though we came with the image of a WWII sunked submarine and it was a little fishing boat that just drifted into Amed...)

The thing that really bothered us was the amount of garbage floating around. I've heard that this is often the situation during the wet season. Is there no or less garbage in the other months?

Is it is the same situation snorkeling in Lembongan or Menjangan in December?

Yes, we did that too in Amed. Since we just snorkel off the shore, it was not difficult to collect some...

Thank you for all the advise and sharing of interesting experiences.... Indeed, we just may skip snorkeling in December and do it on a May trip.

Cheers.
