Kep or Kampot

We are grey nomads who do heaps of backpacking, our son suggests " Kep" but would other travellers in their late 50"s suggest - Kep or Kampot ?

Appreciate any suggestions

We like to walk everywhere and visit markets, beaches etc

From memory a tuk tuk from Samons village into town was $2.

I see Kep isn't recommended for it's beach so much. Is there diving? snorkeling? or is this better done elsewhere? and if so, I'd love a good, safe and reasonably priced recommmendation for diving on the Cambodian coast. Thank much at you active travelors. Hats off!

For diving you'd be best to look at Sihanoukville (and the nearby islands) - Rabbit Island (off Kep) is lovely for a wallow in the warm shallow water but certainly doesn't have any decent diving or snorkeling. The search box directly above your post will help you locate the threads on diving/snorkeling options in Cambodia
