Dinner spot on a river

I've been going to Gatlinburg for many, many years. I'm trying to think of a good place to eat lunch or dinner that is right on the river, preferably an outdoor patio. I'm drawing a blank.

I'm looking to be as close to the water as I can. Also have planned a picnic by the river, but I'm looking for a good restaurant on the water's edge. I prefer something in Gatlinburg, but PF or Sevierville is ok as well.

In between gb and the arts loop on321 is a place on the South side of the road. Can't recall the name, they have covered walkways to the eating area, used to he a trout place, not sure of the menu now .Cool place.

34oSc might be talking about Crystelle Creek (used to be Bear Creek Grill). I've never been there but it's right next to the Jackson Mountain Homes rental office.

No Way Jose's cantina right there at the river road/parkway split by the aquarium has an outdoor patio that overlooks the river. The only other place that I can think of is the Peddler which has seats along the windows and the bar area that overlook the river, but that is inside.

Crystelle Creek is very nice. Laid out so that it is pretty easy to get a table on the creek. We went twice on our recent trip. Check to see when they have live entertainment. Can't remember her name but they had a magnificent entertainer probably on the weekend. Lovely easy music. Totally acceptable food.

I second Best Italian. Right next to the water and really good food.

there is a racoon named Rocky that lives in the stream beside the patio that joins The Best Italian and Howards. He lives in a hole in the side of the riverbank and we have seen him out there playing more than once. He begs for garlic rolls.

We like to visit Cades Cove then stop at Little River BBQ in Townsend afterwards. they have table on the back porch alongside the river which is at the end of the tube run.

In Pigeon Forge, travel out from traffic light #3 towards Wears Valley. Less than one mile past the moonshine ridge store is Friendly Falls restaurant. Remodeled and new owners - it is a great place to eat while overlooking a creek and a beautiful waterfall. Casual dining.
