Christmas parade ...traffic in Pigeon Forge ?

We are staying in Pigeon Forge the 7th and 8th of December .

Just realized the Gatlinburg Christmas parade is the 7th.

How do you think traffic will be in Pigeon Forge ? Does it really affect Pigeon Forge traffic with all the people coming to see the parade ?

(Live 2hr away in Kingsport and have been many times, but never been during th eparade).

It doesn't really affect the traffic in Pigeon Forge. If you are going to Gatlinburg that day, you will want to be in Gatlinburg no later than about 5:30 p.m. or you could get stuck on the lower end of Gatlinburg or the Spur. If you do not want to get stuck in Gatlinburg for the Parade, I would head out of town before 6pm.

They will start stopping traffic on the Parkway in Gatlinburg about 6:15-6;30 p.m.

And stay far, far away from the Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge!! LOL We went for the parade one year and I thought it would be fun to go to the Christmas Place on the Saturday after the parade. It was awful!! Way too many people there for me!
