mountain music & a cold adult beverage

I realize Gatlinburg is a family resort area. But....................

Are there any places for a middle aged couple to enjoy some local music & a cold adult beverage?? Bluegrass or Mountain music would be great. But any local talent would be enjoyable after a day in the Mountains.

Thanks, Lectro

If you can handle Miller then TGI Friday's has 16 ounce glasses of Miller draft beer for 1.00.....that was my husbands favorite spot.

FYI!!

I just received a packet from Townsend. Sept 23 & 24 is the Heritage Festival & Old Timers Day.

"Largest gathering of Bluegrass And Mountain Pickers in East Tennessee." Admission is free, no petes allowed. "A family event-Lots of Crafts & Demonstrations-Storytelling-Children's activities-Antigue Cars-Continuous Jamming and Stage Performances-Antigue Tractor and Engine Show." Townsend Visitor's Center. [865]-448-6134 or [800]-525-6834 for more info.

I'm sure there will be no alcohol, but sounds like 2 days of old fashsioned FUN & Great Local Music. I can drink when I return to cabin. I think I have just made my decision on which area to stay!!
