Page / Lake Powell Itinery

Will be leaving Monument Valley at around 1pm on Tues 31 July, for 2 nights at Lake Powell Resort, leaving Thurs 2 Aug for 1 night in Bryce.

- Have 1/2 day Colorado River Float trip booked for 7.30 am on Wed 1 Aug

- Am considering

- Upper Antelope Canyon on way to LPR on afternoon of 31 July

- Horseshoe Bend overlook on way to Bryce on am of 2 Aug.

- What would you recommend for afternoon after the Float trip ?.

Thanks

Coming from MV, you will pass right by the Antelope Canyons, so that's a good plan.

On the afternoon after the raft trip, drive about 4 miles south of the Walmart at the south end of Page and visit Horseshoe Bend. It's not on the way to Bryce.

Horseshoe Bend will be a bit of a detour, but not much on your travel day to Bryce. It will just require driving across the dam, past town and then back again. Total drive time to and from HSB about 20-30 minutes.

After the raft trip do the Horseshoe Bend overlook trail, take a tour of the dam, watch sunset from Wahweap Overlook.

On the way to Bryce check out the Big Water Visitor Center and the Paria Hoodoos trail
