Running alone in Savannah

Where are some safe areas to go running in the historic district/surrounding areas? I will be running alone around 8am. Looking to run about 3-5 miles.

Thank you.

Historic District is very small. At 8:00, it will be relatively quiet and you should be able to basically run the grid of the HD. For a straigther run and less intersections, you could run up and down River Street and/or Bay Street. I believe there is a walking/running path on the bridge that leads in and out of Savannah....that's another option. Oh, all areas are safe for a run.

I would suggest running to Forsyth park. Joggers are all over the place in the AM. About 1 mile around. 3/4 miles from Bay st. Biggest danger would be cars.

Also high curbs of different heights getting to the park.
