There is no season. You may swim all year around.

Life Guards are not on duty all year or in all sections of the beach.

You need water temperatures in the 70's to be comfortable, temperatures in the 50's-60s are too cold. We had a very warm winter this year, and temps have been running in the 80's this week in Atlanta, probably warmer in Savannah, so maybe you can get in earlier this year.

I think on the local news it said water temp at beach was 71 degrees.
