Getting around Baltimore

We are 2 40ish couples who like to hit a different MLB city every summer for a long weekend. We like to stay downtown in the heart of things and rely on trains and feet to see the sights. Is this easily done in Baltimore? Inner Harbor looks very fun and it looks like Camden Yards is easily done. Can we park the car for the weekend and see what needs to be seen?

We are planning for next summer

For a weekend, absolutely park the car and forget about it.

If you're not up to walking, the Water Taxi is probably your best public transportation bet for what you're describing. Most of the attractions in the Harbor area are laid out east-to-west along the water and the Water Taxi takes full advantage of this. The light rail train runs north-to-south; other than connecting Camden Yards to the airport, tourists will find it of little use.

All this should make sense when you look at the map on the Water Taxi site.
