Inner Harbour on a Saturday evening?

Hello,

We’ll coming to Baltimore on Saturday, August 04, 2007. Have a few question.

1. Parking: who doesn’t ask this question? Lol... Anyway, I did see the following map:

godowntownbaltimore.com/images/aboutdowntown…

and I realize that parking at the Inner Harbour will be expensive and limited. What is our best option pricewise if we’ll arrive ~4:30-5pm for parking, if we would want to leave the car somewhere “Top of the World” and 316 N Charles Street (will be eating dinner there later after walking around the inner harbour, going to “The Top of the World” and maybe Maritime museum if their summer hours are extended as they say). There is 4 of us, so leaving a car somewhere and taking the subway is not an option. We’ll be staying for 3-3.5hours.

2. How much time does it normally take to drive from Union Station in Washington to Inner Harbour in Baltimore on a Saturday, if we leave Washington at, say, 3:30pm? Google shows 51 minutes, is that realistic? Any current or upcoming constructions/road closures we should avoid? We must drive, as we’ll be continuing to Philadelphia after.

Thanks,

Vitaliy

Park at the Galleria. Light and Pratt...sure it's expensive, but it is so close to the harbor, "Top of the World", + Maritime Museum.

Travel time from Union Station could be 51 minutes...could be 2 hours depending on the traffic. On a Saturday...probably closer to 1.25 hours. Avoid 295 as there is traffic when you get to Baltimore.

Have fun.

Thanks for the reply!

Where do you recommend switching to 95 from 295?

And on Gallery's website the say there is special on Saturday for $10 after 4pm, is it bad, good, or about going rate for that time? It sounds about right to me, but just checking. Is that parking ever full? On the website it says "One of the largest parking garages in the Inner Harbor, there is plenty of room for everyone!"

Also, are there any special laws regarding right/left turns in DC, MD and Virginia? E.g. no right turn on red.

Thanks,

Vitaliy
