Just an triva gem that you all might appriciate.
I got back from Jasper National Park, in Alb. Canada and thought it was interesting there was an Astoria River in the park. It turns out this was named after JJ Astor/ Fort Astoria because this river marked the Athabasca Pass-where the fur trappers went over the Canadian Rockies to take their furs to Fort Astoria and on to market. Crazy!
