Philly - Mother/Daughter activities

We will be traveling to PA August 1-8, first stopping in Hershey for 3 days, then on to Philly for the remainder of our trip. We (husband and I) are traveling with our 10 year old son and 7 year old daughter. My son is doing something special, and just for him in Hershey (National Hershey Track Meet), so I was hoping to find something special for my daughter and I to do, in Philly. Any ideas/suggestions for my daughter and I? We enjoy the spa, shopping, crafts. While in Philly we will be seeing the historic sites (Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross House, Independence Hall, Franklin Court, National Constitution Center) as a family, as well as Franklin Institute, US Mint, taking the ferry to the Aquarium and touring the battleship, and attending a Philly's baseball game (Aug 7th, evening). Also, if anyone has suggestions on an itinerary, based on the places listed above that we would like to visit, please share!

Thanks!

You could take her to Tea at The Four Seasons while the guys visit Eastern State Penitentiary. They are about a 10-15 minute walk from each other.

I, too, thought of afternoon tea. The Four Seasons is not far from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a world class museum with numerous exhibits good for kids, including Asian temples and Medieval armor. Behind the Art Museum is the Fairmount Waterworks, a really cool museum showing how the old utility functioned.

I also thought of the Zoo, A Magic show and perhaps making some pottery together.
