mammoth or tahoe?

My family would like to take a ski trip. Husband, two teens, (19&15) i

would also like to take our well behaved golden retriever. I don't ski but my boys will ski all day. Where can we stay that is more deluxe, but will accommodate a dog? I would also consider leaving her behind if accommodations are scarce. Our time frame is anytime from Dec 22 to Jan 6th. Probably a 4-5 night stay in either or both places??

Thanks for your help

PS all 3 are experienced skiers/snowboarders

1. Re: mammoth or tahoe?

If you go to visitmammoth.com - the lodging grid tells you who takes dogs - many do. I don't know of a tahoe web site that has this info, sorry. But I do know that Mammoth is pretty well booked up for christmas/new years - and that both resorts require a 5 night minimum at that time of year.

Thankfully, both resorts are now getting their first (and much needed) snow. A big storm.

I don't know where in CA you're beginning your trip, but Mammoth is a very, very, very long drive from the Bay Area. Tahoe is right there. Mammoth is only accessible from LA and Reno, by car, on the 395.
