Citizen M Times Square

Any recommendations please on where to eat near our hotel.

We arrive Friday evening Sept 26th and would like to freshen up

and eat nearby.

Should we make a reservation or just drop in.

Sorry your post was buried without a response.

You'll find the better restaurants as you head towards 8th and 9th. Loads to choose from there. You could stroll around and find something that strikes your fancy. A few near your hotel that are often mentioned on the forum are Don Antonio (pizza), Toloache (Mexican), Trattoria Trecolori (Italian).

Forum foodie Ziggy has a great list of Hell's Kitchen restaurants (which is that neighborhood just west of your hotel). eatingwithziggy.com/2013/…

Whether you want to pre-book depends on your preferences. If you think you may be tired, or unhappy about waiting for a table (hopefully with a drink in hand), or not up for making an on-the-spot decision about where to eat, then reserving would be a good idea.

Thanks for your reply. Have never tried Japanese before, but love new things, so will probably try Natsumi.
