Us Open

Hi

So I know tickets go on sale June 2014, I was just wondering if its easy to get to the venues from NYC?

Has anyone gone there for the day? How much do tickets normally go for? is it a long trip?

Many Thanks if you can help

Very easy to get there. Takes about 30-45 minutes depending on where in the city you are coming from....

my hotel will probably be close to penn station or times square

Ive been looking at the hotel prices now for the last week of august and its pretty pricey. WIll these go down or remain the same because of labour day and the us open?

pretty much all of them :/ the average is over £1000 for 6 nights in a 3 star hotel around penn station or times square.

I dont begrudge paying it if thats what you would expect to pay in the last week of August.

The hotel rates would be higher around this time - not just because of the US Open but also because of the Labor Day weekend (Labor Day is on the 1st of September this year).

Watching the Open is a great experience and I hope you are able to make it. I have shared my experience in more detail on http://eventraveler.com/us-open. Hope you find it helpful.
