Hi

Planning on getting air train from airport to Howard beach station.

Staying at the wolcott hotel - can you recommend best subway to and dummy directions to the hotel ?

Thanks

The fastest would actually be to take the JFK AirTrain to Jamaica and get the super fast / very frequent Long Island Rail Road right into Penn Station - two blocks from your hotel. Howard Beach isn't really what you want for the Wolcott Hotel - the Jamaica branch is better for you.

For the Wolcott take the AirTrain to Jamaica and the Long Island Rail Road to Penn Station. Exit on the 7th Avenue side. There's an exit to 31st St. & 7th Avenue and your hotel is on 31st between 5th and 6th Avenues.

You can get slightly closer, and save some money, by taking the subway from Jamaica. It will take slightly longer. At Jamaica, take the E train toward the World Trade Center. At any one of a number of stations change, on the same platform, for the F train. Union Turnpike/Kew Gardens is one good change location. Take the F to 34th Street & 6th Avenue. Get out toward the front and you'll be at 32nd St. and 6th Avenue, so very near your hotel.
