Itinerary - Please review & provide suggestions

My boyfriend and I will be traveling to NYC for the first time. We want to see most of the touristy places. We don't mind taking a few guided tours to get more information about neighborhoods. We want to have one day in which we can re-visit areas of interest to get a more in-depth feel for the place. The itinerary below is still a work in progress but I would appreciate some input, especially from the NYC destination experts. I would like to know if the order of places/events is realistic. I would appreciate suggestions on restaurants or delis to eat at in the various areas listed on the itinerary. I want to experience pizza, hot dogs, pastrami sandwich, cannoli, and a great steak but haven't been able to decide on exact eateries because of the abundance of choices.

If I am missing a "must see" destination please let me know.

I apologize for the formatting. I tried the best to make it reader friendly.

I would like to thank all in advance for their willingness to review and offer their input. Thank you!

When you go to Wicked, you say you're going to taxi or subway back to your hotel. Since you state you're lodging in Times Square, why not walk?

I would switch and do Top of the Rock in the daytime and ESB at night. TOTR has great views of Central Park but at night it's just a big black hole.

For your free days, you may want to revisit some of the areas you touch on in the tours. I love strolling through Greenwich Village/West Village, Brooklyn Heights, Soho (but not on the weedends).

george00 - thank you for the recommendations. I will include your suggestions and make the switch. My boyfriend thought of going to Empire State Building during the day but with your suggestion I am sure he would change his mind.

How about lunch at the Boathouse the day you're in Central Park?

While your down South go to Katzs Deli http://katzsdelicatessen.com/ and do your own "When Harry met Sally" scene. If you like oysters hit the oyster bar in Grand Central, basic but a huge range of oysters, great for a fill me up

You are welcome! If you're looking for dessert try a cookie from Levain Bakery near the 72nd St. exit of the park on the Upper West Side! Best cookies ever!
