New 2nd Avenue subway line

I just read about the new subway line being built which will run the length of the east side of Manhattan. Sounds like a great idea!

But I also read that there is a lot of construction going on up in the Upper East Side, specifically around the Marmara and possibly The Franklin hotel. I imagine this would be noisy and dusty. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Confirming it's noisy, dusty, messy and has been for several years now.

Oh what a shame! That must be why the Marmara has cheap rates at the moment.

The Franklin is between 3rd and Lex and should not be a problem.
