Hi we are going to NY this week and would like to go to the 9/11 workshop, should we buy tickets before we go, and if so which website? I was told that the workshop was closed this month due to refurbishment? Has anyone stayed at the sofitel hotel there and if so how much roughly would a cab cost?

Thank you

The 9/11 Workshop is not recommended. It's a money making operation not near the Trade Center. If you want a tour of the area, look at the Tribute Center.

The Ground Zero Museum Workshop is a "for profit" in someone's living room. He comes off sounding 'unhinged' in his public correspondance to people who complain about it. I wouldn't give him one penny. I would follow NYWhiz's advice and go to the free 911 Memorial.
