We are family of four with a 6 and 8 year old. We do not prefer franchises, places catered to kids and average. Feel like if we are coming to NYC- which has some of the best restaurants in the world, we'd like to sample it at least a bit and a year later be able to still say, "WOW- that meal was incredible".
That said, our kids probably wouldn't enjoy deconstructed-more-art-than-food and we would hate to pay $100 a plate to not have them eat it. Husband and daughter LOVE sushi, all of us enjoy seafood (with our son being the most picky), no allergies, meat, carbs, Italian, Mexican, etc...- all good to us. They are well behaved, but they are still kids. Looking at spending under $300 for the 4 of us for a dinner out, but exceptions are possible. Atmosphere is always a plus.
1. Do you have a recommendation based on the above for our first night somewhat near the Hampton Inn Times Square North?
2. Do you have a recommendation pretty much anywhere in Manhattan for Saturday night?
I hope this wasn't too much info. And I appreciate all opinions.
