It is a fun trip to take as the subway is outside on most of the Brooklyn part of the journey and you get a great peak into folks back yards and the like. The Stillwell Ave subway station is one of the newest in the system and I believe the first to used solar energy technology. It is diagonally across the street from Nathan's.

If it's a beach day, I may be biking there myself on Sunday.

Visiting NYC for first time and want to spend a day with my 9 yr. old daughter doing Coney Island/aquarium stuff she'll like. If we're all sandy/grungy and don't want hot dogs, where would be a good restaurant for dinner before we go back to Manhattan? Thanks.

Taking self and daughter to NYC for first time and want to spend a day in Brooklyn (likely Coney Island/Aquarium/not sure where else). I'm sure we'll eat a Nathan's hot dog for lunch, but after a sandy/grungy day, is there a good dinner restaurant (not fancy, just good food) not too far away from the boardwalk that would be recommended before we go back across the bridge? Maybe with outdoor seating to people watch?

Thanks!

It has weird hours, so make sure to check, but Totonno's is well known as some of the best pizza in the city.

You can also cross over to the Russian section of the boardwalk and eat at something like Tatiana right on the boardwalk.
