Have you tried the Second Avenue Deli? If not, it's not fancy but has great pastrami and corned beef as well as many other entrees. Plus they can accomodate a large party and are reasonably priced.

Here are some places that I know in the area:

Second Avenue Deli - Jewish deli food

Veselka - Polish

Cacio e Pepe - Italian

Fruitti di Mare - Italian

Dallas BBQ

Kiev East - Russian

Mary Anns - MExican

A load of Indian restaurants on 6th Street between 2nd & 1st - cannot recommend one, however, not my thing.

These are all within a few blocks of the theatre and reasonably priced, and good (the only one I have not eaten at is Mary Anns)

Check menus, prices etc on www.menupages.com

Noho Star (American/eclectic)

Two Boots (pizza)

Acme Bar & Grill (funky Cajun)

Five Points (very nice upscale but affordable American)
