Ground Zero Museum & workshop review July 2009

The museum was very nice and intimate. I think the small groups was a nice personal touch to really appreciate the essence of the museum and the contents of it. The time alloted was sufficient, yet due to being emotionally overwhelmed I was not able to get through all of the numbered exhibits. Although I would like to have been able to. I wish that after the museum I could go on a web site or be extended some type of temporary pass code good for about 2 weeks, so that I could see and hear more of the exhibits I may have missed. Other than that, It was a beautiful and respectful way of remembering, honoring and reflecting on that very tragic day. I will never forget it. I am glad that the museum is not located near the actual ground zero site, which we visited the very next day. It was hectic and busy there & the full appreciation of the intimacy of the groundzero museum would not be fully absorbed due to the chaos there.

Husker,

Wish I could help, but I live in Gaithersburg, MD(about 30 min from Washington DC) and have been to NY maybe 6-7 times in my life. I am as lost there as most newbies to the city are.

Alas, on my last visit, the cabbies took advantage of that, and drove me around in circles everytime I went to the museum so as to pad their bill. Beware of that. Everyone is out to make that extra buck these days.
