What can high-schoolers bring for student ID?

My two sons are high-school aged and looking to get student discounts. What can they use for student ID? They don't have a card issued by the school or anything, just driver's licenses.

If their ages are on the driver's licences, I would think places would accept these as ID for being in school.

It depends on where they're looking to get discounts. Some places (like some theaters) are strict about student ID and require 2 forms of ID, one showing age and the other showing school attendance. Can't believe they don't have some form of proof that they attend school.

Our high schools provide student ID's. If your son's high school doesn't then I suggest a current report card might do the trick.

I'm surprised they don't have school-issued i.d.'s. What about students who don't drive yet at their school? Do they not need i.d. for football/basketball (school team) games?

I would think their driver's license would work fine.

Thanks for your input. We live in a very small town (1200) in the "woods" so things are done differently here! I'll bring report cards and licenses.
