Hope the link works and add what, if any, you want to your project Nic.
mike what is the triangle shaped building in pic # 4, do you remember?
#4 is the Flatiron Building, which is undergoing renovation at this moment.
Great pics, Mike. Builds my excitement to get over there even more!
A lot of your pictures have a real artistic flare to them. Nice photos!
Thanks, Mike - I don't think I've spent so long poring over photos for ages. I particularly liked some of the different views you got of familiar items - the globe with the Mandarin Oriental behind (most people go for Trump Tower) and the view of Brooklyn Bridge through the old civil war building - excellent!
2 questions. Where was the $10m House and where was the aerial shot just before the Manhattan Bridge taken?
Lovely pictures Mike. I am also curious as to the two photos which Nic has asked about.
Nic.....We spent a couple of days on honeymoon at the Hamptons on LI....we came across this ($10m) house near Southampton.
The shot of the lake was taken from the plane on the flight into Newark airport....not sure exactly where it is.
As for the Mandarin Oriental pic....I got some strange looks as I lay flat on the pavement to get that one.
Thanx for the nice comments everyone.
Oh and as for the shot of Brooklyn Bridge through the brickwork of the old building Nic...I noticed that one of the American crime programmes on CH5, Law & Order/CSI NY etc, use the same shot.
They stole the idea from me I hasten to add!
Just have to add to the other comments about your photos - WoW! WoW! and another WoW!
I thought they were pretty spectacular - is your hobby photography - I ask because you got down to floor level to take a shot???
Loved seeing the photo of your wedding - thank you for sharing your photos
Aww you are too kind Danielle. Thanks.
I love to see a good photo and, as Nic said earlier, it is nice to see a familliar pic taken slightly differently.
The beauty of digital cameras means you have as many attempts as it takes to get the right shot. ;)
Laying on the floor was the only way to get the towers in....we had just had a drink in the fabulous bar on the 34th floor of the Oriental and wanted a photo of it.
