Living Desert Zoo in morning, Caverns in Afternoon?

Just curious if this is the right way to view both places during the hot month of July? Obviously, I am thinking that in the morning the zoo is more hospitable and in the afternoon, well you in a cavern? Am I wrong in my thinking, should I reverse it? And, if so..why.

Thanks.

I don't know that there is a right or wrong way, but your way makes sense to me. The Caverns will be the same temp. no matter when you go. The Living Desert Zoo has a nice visitor center but most of it is outside. If you're going on any of the Cavern tours you might want to check on the times they are scheduled, so not to miss out.

Be advised that, during the summer, the self-guided Natural Entrance route will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The self-guided Big Room route will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ranger-guided Kings Palace tour is offered at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tour times are established to allow ample time for visitors to exit the cave before the 7 p.m. closing.
