Travel to the north of San Diego

Our family will be staying in San Diego for the week, pure vacation fun. Thinking about travelling north to Carlsbad (Legoland) and further (Disney and Knott's). Any idea of travel time to Anaheim area? We'll do as much of the San Diego stuff as possible too, Zoo, SeaWorld, Wild Animal Park, etc., but have the time and vehicle to explore. Any other family oriented ideas for children aged 6 and 11 not too far away from San Diego? Thanks for your help.

Anaheim is about 1 1/2 hour drive from San Diego. But of course, this doesn't count traffic. There's a lot for kids to do in Anaheim area, like Disneyland and California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm, Medieval Times. You may want to stay in the Anaheim area for a couple of days. Newport Beach, which is close to Anaheim is very nice and check out Fashion Island.

San Diego Wild Animal Park in San Pasqual. It takes about 1 1/2 hours to drive to Anaheim (approximately). There is so much to see in San Diego....be sure and visit Old Town San Diego. This is great educational fun for the family. (Good food, too.)
